Candied Kumquat with Dark Callebaut Chocolate

Everyone loves dessert! A La Carte Catering and Events designs bite-size beauties for your guests to nibble. Most of our desserts can be served buffet style or passed by your wait staff. As you note your favorites, be sure to include at least one dessert featuring chocolate and one without to please each of your guests.

If your party has the elbow room, A La Carte suggests setting up a separate buffet table featuring only desserts. It's a great way to move guests to another area of your home, especially accompanied by a coffee bar or Champagne toast and those decadent Chocolate-Dipped Kumquats pictured to the left.

Planning a formal sit down meal? You have even more choices for dessert since you can serve more delicate finales like Raspberry Napoleons with Meyer Lemon Cream and Amaretto Souffles with Dark Chocolate Sauce.

Although seasonal favorites vary (see below), Tiny Milk Chocolate Chip Cookies and Lemon Tartlets are always hits.

A La Carte Catering and Events incorporates the freshest ingredients into your event's menu. Here are some seasonal dessert highlights:

Strawberry Cream Frosted Mini Cupcakes Spring
Texas strawberries arrive by the bushel, so include these ripe, juicy beauties on your menu. Try chocolate dipped strawberries, strawberry cream frosted cupcakes or baby strawberry shortcakes with citrus-flecked mascarpone.
Classic Tarte Tatin Fall
Apples, pumpkin and pears top our list of fall favorites, like the classic tarte tatin (beautiful on your buffet) pictured to the left. Pass the cinnamon-cider whipped cream, please.
Raspberry Napoleon Summer
Raspberries! Peaches! Cherries! Raspberry Streusel Bars disappear from our kitchen as quickly as we make them. Ice Cream Socials feature fresh Texas peaches and elegant dinner parties end with individual Cherry-Almond Clafouti.
Hazelnut Butter Truffles Winter
Rich, decadent truffles in all their glorious varieties are on the menu this time of year. Too delicate for warmer seasons, no winter fete is complete without Hazelnut Butter , Dark Chocolate Rum or White Chocolate Coconut Truffles.
